Go Raise It came to life in 2019 in Auckland, New Zealand. It’s founders, Dana & Andrea, were two busy mums juggling young families and trying to also give back to their school and community by volunteering on their PTA and other club committees for activities their families were involved in. A big part of volunteer time seemed to be spent running the various fundraisers they needed to raise much needed funds.
One day someone suggested they take a look at a fundraiser they had seen another school do online for a Fun Run – the school had raised a lot of money but it also seemed that the company they used took over 50% of the donations to run the fundraiser and provide prizes to all children based on the amount they raised. They wondered … could we do something similar online but without loosing all those hard earned funds to the company running the technology.
The first fundraiser they ran was super successful raising over 35K in donations for a school with only 400 children on the roll. They knew they were on to something and set out to create a fundraising company and methodology that would allow schools and clubs to put more money raised bank where it belonged … in their bank account.
At the end of 2019 “Go Raise It” was officially launched and the journey had begun only to then be slowed down in 2020 by the arrival of the covid pandemic. They kept going and realised that even in times of hardship schools and clubs still needed to fundraise.
Go Raise It now operates across 3 countries helping schools and clubs to supercharge their fundraising with a fundraising programme that supports time strapped volunteers from start to finish. Since starting we have processed over $15 million* for our partner schools and clubs.
