Privacy Policy

 

The Go Raise It team has put this information together to help you understand how your “Personally Identifiable Information” or PII is used as part of a Go Raise It fundraiser.

PII is personal data that could be used, either by itself or combined with more private details, to identify a particular individual, i.e. you.

Go Raise It fundraisers are designed to collect the absolute minimum information we can in order to run our fundraisers. Keep reading to find out more about what we collect and how we use this information to run a Go Raise It fundraiser.

 

Your Personal Info – what and when we collect it

Depending on how you are interacting with a Go Raise It fundraiser we will collect and store the minimum required personal information that we need to provide our service.

Whether you are a fundraiser or a supporter we require your Name and Email address so we can communicate with you e.g. information on how to fundraise, receipts if you have donated to or purchased from one of our online fundraisers. For our Product fundraisers where you are purchasing an item from a fundraiser we provide your email address to the fundraiser so they can contact you to arrange delivery of your items purchased.

Dependant on the fundraiser type you are interacting with we may optionally ask for a phone number – you do not need to provide this but if you do we may share that with the Fundraising Manager from your organisation or the person you have purchased from so they can communicate with you about your order.

When setting up your fundraising pages for your children we advise during setup that you to not use identifying names for your children’s pages. Ideally a nickname should be used OR at the very least not their full name e.g. First Name and initial. We also do not recommend using images that are identifiable/recognisable on their pages – create an avatar or use a picture of their favourite thing.

Your Personal Info – what do we do with it?

Go Raise It uses a technology platform called Raisely to run our fundraisers and store your fundraising data – please review their privacy policy for how they use and store the personal info a Go Raise It fundraiser collects.

Go Raise It also stores some of your data for a very limited time (usually around 6-8 weeks) in our own application to provide our fundraising services to the school or club you are fundraising with. This data is stored in a secure database during that time period. Once a fundraiser has been completed all personal info is removed (this information remains within the Raisely platform – please see above link for details on their privacy policy).

The information we collect is used to:
1) Communicate with you about actions you have taken on one of our fundraising sites e.g. Donation Receipts, Purchase Receipts
2) Provide your personal information and order information to our Fundraisers if you have purchased from someone as part of our fundraising service. This enables them to get your order to you after the fundraiser.
3) Send updates on the fundraiser via email while the fundraiser is live.

We will

  • NEVER Sell your data to any third party service not involved with our services
  • NEVER Use your email address for future marketing purposes

Updating your info

At any time you can contact us to have your personal information removed from our main application platform hosted by Raisely.
